Have you planned and started implementing your 2018 marketing strategy?

I can’t believe there are hot cross buns in the shops already (yes we bought some), kindly telling us Easter is on the way…

This should serve as a reminder that we are always looking forward to the next thing and the next thing could be a few months away.   As much as we complain about it, it must work as why do they keep doing it?

We also joke that as soon as the Christmas sales are over the seasonal aisle goes from Christmas selection boxes and Quality Street to Easter eggs, overnight.

The only way brands can be ready to deliver these things all the time is to plan and implement a strategy. And you need to start thinking in these terms too, if you haven’t already.

Marketing plans and strategies are not just for the big brands. Everyone can benefit from a bit of planning

So things to plan for this year:

  • Valentines Day is next month
  • Easter
  • Summer Holidays
  • Halloween
  • Christmas

The beauty of these things is that they happen every year! So you really have no excuse now do you?

Looking for an awareness day to get behind?

You can use these things to develop marketing campaigns, social media content, blog posts. You are only limited by your imagination.

So why not take an hour or so, and have nose around.

Scribble down some ideas. Turn it into a plan. And execute it…

Plans and strategies only work if you implement them.
