A second website for your business

You might already have a website for your business but it could be that it is hard to use; an old site that you no longer have access to; or you are tied to the current provider for a few more years, yet you want to take advantage of the changes going on online to attract more business.

One way to remove this issue is to launch a second website. Now to be honest, we are not suggesting simply copying and posting your existing website into a new domain name and hosting space.

We are suggesting you look at your core product range and work out which products are working and profitable in your business and those should be the focus of a new website. So, a subset of products if you will.

But I am diluting my offering and missing revenues?

Theoretically yes you are however, from our experience we have found:

  • focused websites rank in search engines quicker;
  • focused websites tend to convert better as people visiting your site will know exactly what you offer;
  • having a new site means you can make it mobile friendly;
  • having a new site means you can connect to social media and create online communities around specific products much easier;
  • if you are using PPC advertising, it is easier to get higher position at lower costs with a more focused website.

So in essence, they tend to drive more traffic and revenues from a lower number of products. This makes the site more profitable, more quickly.

In recent months, we have built several secondary sites for clients. In fact some have multiple sites all working in specific areas where they have identified profitable niches or business.

If you are keen to look at taking advantage of digital marketing yet are tied to your current inflexible website, then get in touch. We can help build you a site you can use and also develop marketing plan to drive traffic and sales.
