The difference between residential unoccupied and unoccupied under going works?

The Simple answer is, no difference, as ABACUS are now writing more unoccupied risks with renovations ongoing, the idea was to bring our brokers attention to the fact we can quote properties of this nature without altering the product itself.

You’ve had instant quote terms (no referral); you want to view the premium without continuously requoting to bring up the premium and terms?

When logged into the system if you have an instant quote with a blue flag next to it, on       the far right hand side you can click the small calculator which will show you all available insurers and even has a short cut to requote if required.

Will ABACUS’ Vacant panel transfer from vacant to tenanted mid term without cancellation?

Currently all providers will transfer to let mid term subject to tenant type, numbers etc.

New business team referral turn around and quote validation period?

The ABACUS New Business Team currently aims to work within a 5 hour turn around on website referrals and have a validity period of 30 days. However if you have an urgent referral please call the team on 01702 606 304

Does this insurer have a key facts? Where can you locate them?

The ‘policy documentation’ tab on the navigation bar at the top of the website will have all key facts for each insurer and can be downloaded straight to your desktop. This tab will also allow you to download proposal forms and view our terms of business.

Where can you not joint insureds and/or financial interests?

At quotation stage we do not require these to be noted to help save time and reduce the number of questions required. These can be added on at hold cover stage when processing the final points of the policy. You will be automatically taken to this section when placing cover.

Do the ABACUS panel index link or use day one up lift?

Our whole panel will index link at renewal based on a percentage they provide. We do not offer day one up lift.
